I have to admit that lots of times as I led mission teams I wonder “What is God up to” today. The direction is clear but I can honestly say that I don’t know what God has in store for that day. Last week as I began to measure all that had happened with the ball teams and it was HUUGGEE. I wasn’t exactly sure what our next step was and what we were going to do with what GOD had done. I felt very comfortable that we need to reconnect with each of the teams and work at getting them into one of the local churches. Today we rolled up into El Paguill to do just that, I had contacted the radio station and ask them to announce that we were coming so everybody would be there and we could engage. When I pulled in there were about 6 women and children waiting. I have to admit I was a little disappointed to say the least. We found out that the village (EL PAGUILL) was playing another team from the village next door and they had just finished a double-header. The guys from Paguill brought the other team to me and we were able to share the gospel with another team and were invited to their village tomorrow. As I was cooking the stew we had the opportunity to share with 50-60 young men and many prayed to receive CHRIST.
After 11 years this was a FIRST, that young men would seek us out and listen to what we had to share. AS many of you know that when we roll into a village most of the time the men leave or just won’t listen. Thank you GOD for using FLG to break down a huge wall that exist here in Nicaragua between young men and the GOSPEL.
Tomorrow morning (9-11) we are going to The Mountain of Prayer to pray for our country, remember those that lost their lives on the terrible day and remember those that have paid the ultimate price since that day for our freedom. IHS, Donald and Pammie
