We have had a great second day on the mission field! Greg and Katie shared a devotion on having a Christ-like attitude to start the day. Then Zach, Morgan, and Kristen did a great job sharing their testimonies on the radio. When they returned, we went to the baseball stadium in Somotillo, where some of the men worked with the local baseball team. The Nicaraguan players have lots of baseball talent! The rest of the men worked with the members of Principe de Paz church and the Baptist School to clean the stands so that we can paint them tomorrow. It was wonderful to see the North Americans and missionaries working side-by-side. Meanwhile, the girls did crafts and shared the gospel with the children. The local news filmed the action for a news story.
After lunch, we went to the village El Platanal. Dr. Anderson administered medication to over 80 people. The team members played games, colored, and painted nails with the people. Sarah shared the gospel using a bracelet with colored beads as a visual of the message; the children received the bracelets to keep as reminders. Lee Anne, our soup chef, prepared hot stew for the people to enjoy, and we also gave bags of rice to the mothers. God was at work in Nicaragua today, and we can’t wait to see what He does tomorrow. Thank you for your prayers!
