Today was an eventful day! We started off the day in Managua headed to
Somotillo. We were stopped on the way by two police officers. They
talked to our drivers for what seemed like forever. One of the officers
then hopped in our van and we followed the other to the police station.
Our trip was bathed in prayer from the beginning!! After sitting
outside the police office for almost an hour we were told we were free
to leave. As it turns out our driver had a misunderstanding with
another driver and it had nothing to do with us☺
When we eventually arrived at the Casa we ate lunch and headed out to
the village La Fragua. It was so much fun to give out candy, clothes,
food, and stew. The Nicaraguan boys played baseball with the guys on
our team and the Nicaraguan girls had fun getting their nails painted
and playing with bubbles!
We were able to share Christ using the wordless book and a couple of
the guys shared Christ with the group. Two young girls after having
their nails painted and listening to the Gospel surrendered their lives
to Jesus! God’s Word never returns void. God is always faithful and
desires a relationship with everyone in the world, including young
girls from Nicaragua
Pray for the pastors tomorrow and Wednesday as they head into Honduras
to train and love on other pastors in that area. Pray for an anointing
of the Spirit as they teach God’s Word and for safety as they travel.
We are excited to serve this week and excited to share many God moments
this week!
